Publicize the May 17 Bishop’s Fund 5K for Kids in your parish. Please display the 5K POSTER in your church. Put an announcement in your church bulletin or newsletter. Make announcements to the congregation on Sunday morning!
Hand out race brochures and make it clear that this event is a RUN and/or WALK. All ages are welcome! Families can participate together (strollers are allowed).
- Explain that each individual racer must register by mailing in the registration form found in the race brochure.Race brochures and online registration will be available soon.
Kids must also be registered for the Kids’ track and field events. All Kids’ Field Day participants will receive a T-shirt!
- Encourage participants to ask family and friends for pledges to help raise additional funds (download pledge form here) . Pledges may be submitted with your registration on race day, pledged on-line at our web site, or mailed to Diocesan House by June 30.
All pledges that are made by check must have the church's name/town in the memo line to be counted towards your total. Cash donations must be in a sealed envelope with the church name/town written on the outside. The church with the most pledged dollars wins THE BIG TROPHY!
