Publicize the Bishop’s Fund 5K for Kids in your parish. Please display the 5K POSTER in your church. Put an announcement in your church bulletin or newsletter. Make announcements to the congregation on Sunday morning!
Hand out race brochures and make it clear that this event is a RUN and/or WALK. All ages are welcome! Families can participate together (strollers are allowed).
- Explain that each individual racer must register by mailing in the registration form found in the race brochure or online through www.bishops5kforkids.org
- All Kids’ Field Day participants can register at the event and will receive a T-shirt
- Encourage participants to ask family and friends for pledges to help raise additional funds (download pledge form here) . Pledges may be submitted any time, pledged online at our web site, or mailed to Diocesan House (Send to: Bishop's 5K for Kids, 1335 Asylum Ave, Hartford CT 06105)
All pledges must have the church's name/town to be counted towards your total. The church with the most pledged dollars wins THE BIG TROPHY!
