1. Publicize the Bishops' Fund 5K for Kids in your parish. Posters will be mailed to all parishes in early April. Display the 5K poster in your church, put an announcement in your Sunday bulletin (click here) or newsletter (click here), post it on your bulletin board (click here), and make announcements to the congregation on Sunday morning.

2. Hand out race brochures (they'll be mailed to parishes in April) and make it clear that this event is a RUN and/or WALK. All ages are welcome! Families can participate together and strollers are allowed.

3. Explain that each individual must register by mailing in a registration form or online here.

4. All Kids Field Day participants register at the event.

5. Encourage participants to ask family and friends for pledges to help raise additional funds (download pledge form here). Pledges may be submitted any time, pledged online at our web site, or mailed to Diocesan House (Bishops' 5K for Kids, 1335 Asylum Ave., Hartford CT 06105).

All pledges must be marked with the church name and town to be counted toward your team total.
